 Philippine Dance and Culture comes to North County! The Academy of World Dance n Arts has added Philippine Dance Classes featuring the PASACAT Philippine Dance Company to their class offerings. Classes will be held on Saturdays from 12:00-1:00pm with performance opportunities available. Now accepting new student registrations. All ages are welcome, male & female. No experience is necessary. San Diego based PASACAT Philippine Dance Company is one of the longest established Philippine dance companies in the United States and is at the forefront in promoting the culture of the Philippines through dance, music and song.  World Dance n Arts Holiday Party Saturday, December 11th, 2010 5:30pm-7:30pm This is the perfect time of year to get together and celebrate a successful 2010 and look forward to 2011! Come for Fun, Dancing, and Games! Bring a Potluck Dish, a Gift for the gift exchange (Max.$10), and canned foods for the Holiday food drive. Academy of World Dance n Arts launches food drive to benefit the San Diego Food Bank The Academy of World Dance n Arts will be collecting nonperishable food items to benefit the San Diego Food Bank Holiday Food Drive 2010. Starting on December 1st and running through December 22nd the community is invited to bring donation items to World Dance n Arts located at 12621-A Poway Road, Poway, Ca. 92064. The San Diego Food Banks most needed food items include: canned meat, tuna, soups, fruits & vegetables, dried beans, cereal, pasta & rice, peanut butter, and infant formula. This is a wonderful opportunity for our dancers, families, and local community to give back this holiday season. During the food drive, World Dance n Arts will also be conducting a raffle to win a $30 gift certificate good towards dance classes (open to new and current students). Individuals will receive one raffle ticket for each food item they donate on weekdays from 4-7pm and Saturdays from 9am-4pm and the drawing will take place on December 23rd. The winner will be announced on the World Dance n Arts website. Classes will be held every Saturday in November from 12:00-1:00pm starting on November 6th. All ages are welcome, male & female. No experience is necessary. Register today to reserve your spot!
