 The Academy of World Dance n Arts hosted a food drive to benefit the San Diego Food Bank on December 1st-22nd, 2010. With the help of studio dancers, families, and overwhelming support from the local community, World Dance n Arts collected over 97 lbs. of food to help feed the hungry. For those that donated, World Dance n Arts conducted a raffle to win a $30 gift certificate good towards dance classes. WDA dancer, Jessica Menezes, took home the prize. Academy of World Dance n Arts launches food drive to benefit the San Diego Food Bank The Academy of World Dance n Arts will be collecting nonperishable food items to benefit the San Diego Food Bank Holiday Food Drive 2010. Starting on December 1st and running through December 22nd the community is invited to bring donation items to World Dance n Arts located at 12621-A Poway Road, Poway, Ca. 92064. The San Diego Food Banks most needed food items include: canned meat, tuna, soups, fruits & vegetables, dried beans, cereal, pasta & rice, peanut butter, and infant formula. This is a wonderful opportunity for our dancers, families, and local community to give back this holiday season. During the food drive, World Dance n Arts will also be conducting a raffle to win a $30 gift certificate good towards dance classes (open to new and current students). Individuals will receive one raffle ticket for each food item they donate on weekdays from 4-7pm and Saturdays from 9am-4pm and the drawing will take place on December 23rd.
